Christmas Lights in London

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star… There is no doubt that everyone is  Nuts about Christmas here in London. The best thing about visiting London during this time of the year, it’s enjoying the multitude of lights and the charming luminous figures that adorn the most popular shopping districts, which tell you the story of Christmas as you walk. Every year the lights have a different theme, and they are switched on in the midst of a celebratory occasion throughout the month of November. The best part? All these events are actually free!

 Covent Garden Christmas Lights

When: 6th November 2013
The London Gospel Choir will accompany the Covent Garden Christmas Lights switch on with a big performance at 6pm. Where: Covent Garden, The Market, London WC2E 8RF

Regent Street Christmas Lights

When: 9th November 2013
Don’t miss the spectacular pyrotechnic display and Emma Bunton together with Jamie Theakston which officially launch Christmas at the West End in London.

 Duke of York Square Christmas Lights

When: 9th November 2013
Santa’s Grotto, real life camels and an art crafts marquee? Sounds like Christmas Lights turn on celebration on 3pm at Kensington and Chelsea.

 Oxford Street Christmas Lights

When: 12th November 2013
The 54th annual Oxford Street Christmas Lights is a big celebration in front of Selfridges. One of the UK’s most dynamic pop artist will open this spectacular ceremony (previous global stars were Robbie Williams, Westlife and the Spice Girls). For the first year, the Oxford Street will undergo a glittering transformation inspired by snowflakes.

Carnaby Street Christmas Lights

When: 14th November 2013
The world renowned oversize 3D robins which fly above the 13 streets of Carnaby will be switched on at 6pm. Moreover there will be a Carnaby 20% Christmas Shopping Party where you can get reduced prices at over 150 shops, bars and restaurants.

Christmas Lights On and Lantern Parade at Greenwich Market

When: 21st November 2013
Beginning with the local school children’s lantern parade the Christmas Lights will be switched on at 4pm at the Old Royal Naval College. Sarah Jane Honeywell from CBeeBees will lead the big countdown.
