So far, 2012 is looking good and that’s no surprise with such a special year in terms of sports and unique events! Wimbledon, the London Olympics and Paralympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, among the many other exciting events that take place every year in the capital. What’s equally important (well, at least for us) is our revamped look! We are so excited with our new website that we have become addicted to peaking at the progress of our web designer on this page.
OK, so enough about us! If you are one of those who cannot wait to experience the London Olympics this summer -and for those who didn’t get any tickets- we have a couple a great tip..
Leading up to the games (the kick-off is on 27 July) the official Olympics venues will host various sporting events including many national competitions. There will also be several “friendly matches” to test the indoor and outdoor Olympic venues.
These tickets are much cheaper than those for the official games, and they will make a great day out. For example, a ticket to the British Swimming Championship in March will only cost £11 pounds –which is only a fraction of the ticket prices for the official 2012 games. For more information, dates and to purchase tickets check the Visit London’s website here.
June 2012 marks a special jubilee for The Queen; Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate 60 years as our fearless leader. In the first week of June there will be a four-day bank holiday weekend (YAY) which no doubt will be characterised by loads of street parties throughout London and the rest of the country. Yet, another excuse to visit London in June, wave your Union Jack, join us and celebrate with the nation!
P.S. Do not forget that Valentine’s day is just around the corner so if you have not made plans yet and you want to surprise your loved one, check out our availability and share the love of London this Valentine’s day!
