What’s on at Wembley

Wembley Stadium is renowned for hosting outstanding events for various sporting games including NFL and Football as well as holding concerts for big name artists.

NFL at Wembley Stadium

We’ve seen guests come and go at Palmers Lodge eager to experience a touch down at the latest NFL game between the Saints and Dolphins, dance like a fool to ‘Fool’s Gold’ at the Stone Roses concert, or wave their lighters from side to side whilst they listened to the dulcet tones of the legend that is Adele.  This is just to name a few of the many events that have taken place at this iconic venue.

As such, we are certainly excited about the many upcoming events at Wembley, as this brings about guests from all around the world, who share their stories and experiences with us.

Football at Wembley Stadium

Football

With the recent refurbishment of Tottenham’s stadium White Hart Lane, the Spurs have been welcomed by Wembley to play their domestic matches from now up until May 2018, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool (YNWA!).  Tottenham will also be making an appearance at Wembley for the Champions League against Real Madrid on the 1st of November (ladies, your chance to stalk Cristiano Ronaldo!  Gentlemen too actually, let’s be honest).

In addition, a world cup qualifying match will be played between England and Slovenia on the 5th of October, which will most likely have fans on the edge of their seat as a win for England would mean a place at Russia 2018.  It will be interesting to see how England will go without star Dele Alli, due to his recent suspension.  Only time will tell!  It’s definitely great to see devotees show their patriotism and support, for either England or Slovenia, we’re not biased here at Palmers Lodge (insert wink face here).

Music

But it’s not only about football, we are also gearing up for the amazing English singer/songwriter, record producer and guitarist who has had numerous singles/albums debut to number one – yes you’ve guessed correctly, it’s Mr Ed Sheeran!  He will be playing at Wembley next June, so whether you fancy a cheeky serenade, jumping up and down in the mosh pit with your mates, or sitting outside the venue listening to his wonderful music because you missed out on tickets (sad face), Wembley is the place to be.
